He's had a down playoff run so far (cumulative anyway). But yeah - he brought it last night during crunch time. That's why he's 6th man of the year baby!

On the one hand I'm ecstatic we get at least another couple weeks of high intensity playoff ball. On the other I'm not really sure what i just watched. Going to stay up and watch the whole thing again. This is for the die-hard Wolves fans that you all are. So happy for all of you.
This has been a long time coming for so many of us, Cool. I’m happy for all of us - grizzled vets and newcomers - who’ve been waiting for this moment. Here we are on KG’s birthday, coming back from 20 points down exactly 20 years after KG led us to our last game 7 win for our only prior trip to the Western Conference finals in franchise history. There’s magic in the air. I’m still floating among the clouds. Like you, I’m tempted to watch the game again tonight since I can’t sleep. But I’m going to save my DVD re-watch until tomorrow.

Let’s all savor the moment. This is a terrific team and it’s been an incredibly fun season. But we’re not done yet. We’ve come this far. Let’s keep the magic going against Dallas and beyond.
Lip! Hope you are able to get to some of the WCF playoff games, we need a Lip Game Report from you!

I re-watched the second half this morning because I was in such a daze real-time with it. It was good to soak it in and really see how the comeback unfolded. I think a lot of it had to do with Denver just getting worn down over a 7-game series.

To me, one of the major stories of this team's season is the cutting down of turnovers. We don't have a great halfcourt offense to begin with, but the TOs were just killing us in the first half of the regular season.

We had only 7 turnovers last night. When you aren't shooting yourself in the foot, you give yourself a real chance. That run we made last night wasn't all beautiful basketball, as we had our fair share of missed shots, but it was largely mistake-free basketball.
Only 13 turnovers in the final two games. Remember when it was the team's bugaboo? When 13 TOs in a game was guaranteed and 13 in a half was a real possibility?

I think I'm probably wrong as often as I'm right about things...I know this series baffled me often. But one thing I have always believed is this: in the playoffs, good defense will usually beat good offense. I don't think anyone would disagree that despite Ant's brilliance, our opponents came into the respective series with the better offense. But we had the best defense in the Association all season by far, and that is what carried us in both series. Now, we have to do it again against a team with two brilliant offensive players. It's going to be a challenge, but again, I like our superior defense.

I'm riding a 2-game winning streak, so I'll get the GDT going Wednesday morning!

Well said. What a wild roller coaster of a night. Stayed up to watch reactions and started the day doing the same lol. This is the run we all deserve! Now on to handling business against DAL. Bring the clamps!

Yes. Naz was absolutely huge in the 4th quarter last night!

That's my point Abe. The turnover issue is a huge part of the story this season. They went from a sloppy, turnover-prone team to one that prizes ball security. Ant has made HUGE strides in this area along with the team as a whole.

I think what we sometimes see as "passive Ant" is Ant being more careful about forcing things that just aren't there. They were sending two to him almost every time last night and for him to just try to put his head down and force his way to the rim would have probably not been a good idea. So instead he gave it up. Eventually guys started making shots because he got off the ball and got the defense in rotation.

I was gonna be more engaged on the board for this game but I had some family fly into the area and had a fantastic weekend. I watched the game this morning before work.

Anyway one of the things I thought about before this game was each team had so many X factors. For Denver was Braun and Jackson gonna do anything. Braun yes Jackson basically no. 21 total points from non-murray Jokic Nuggets. It wasn't just about scoring but anyways. Meanwhile McDaniels has 23 plus some impact defensive plays. Naz Reid was huge later in the game on both ends. When Gobert fouled out I was like who cares Naz was cooking.

I'll add here that Towns played a hell of a game. Yeah he picked up a couple dumb fouls but the Wolves play an aggressive game on defense so that means a couple more fouls. Towns got some key buckets to keep them in it at times and his defense is legit.

Overall it was a team win. Edwards dealt with all those guys coming at him and he had 1 TO. That's pretty impressive to me honest and 3-4 of the Wolves TOs were offensive fouls. They really took care of the ball.

I can still remember how awful we all felt when we gave up a 20 point halftime lead and lost in Atlanta early in the season. Now, imagine how we would have felt if we had blown a 20 point lead at home in Game 7 of the conference semifinals! I'm very happy for the Wolves community today, but I'm leaving a little room for for compassion for the Denver fans today...what a gut wrenching loss!
