After watching several of his games in europe after the signing, compared to where he was at in the nba a few years earlier, i agree. Hopefully he plays the same way and almost as aggressive. And he could end up being the steal of the offseason.
I like Dane but sometimes he has takes I very much disagree with. He and Britt are a good duo because they often balance each other out.
Their episodes are usually must listen for me. The juxtaposition of their ages combined with their mutual respect and love of the game makes for really really insightful conversation.
I don't listen to Dane cause he tells me what I want to hear, I listen because he thinks a lot about the game and ask a lot of questions.
Yeah both guys really love the game and are curious about it. Each guy also has forged their own way and reports basically whatever they see or think. They aren't beholden to anyone. I like that both of them fully recognize they have some blind spots and admit this is their take and it might be proven wrong etc.
I think it's kinda fun how it seems like the people that cover the team from the different outlets like each other with basically all of them appearing on Dane's podcast somewhat regularly. Dane's success shows you can have legit content without all the BS and people will pay attention.

Paraphrasing but basically the wolves will be fine with a 1 center, 1 guard, 3 wing lineup but what will really make the difference like it did for the Spurs is if Ant and LaMelo play defense to the best of their ability or close to it. It's been pretty funny because Dane would complain about how nonsensical our roster was with Randle and Rudy starting together and then having a 3rd big come off the bench in Naz that was more of a PF/SF than a PF/C. He was also an early proponent of Jaden playing the 4.
Well, you got your wish Dane and now you are all worried about our lack of a PF!? What the hell??
He's also super tentative when it comes to Beringer and how it might be a big leap for him to backup Rudy. At what point CAN he start playing rotation minutes then Dane!? We're talking about 15-18 MPG max on most nights. It's not like we're asking him to take Naz's spot as a 6th man 25 MPG type player.
I didn't think Britt came off as completely unconcerned about the issue, but he seems to have a more balanced perspective.
I actually think Lyles is a good fit with other starters as a low usage 4 that can hit threes and has a high rebound rate. I feel the 1 pg, 1 C, 2 wing lineup should get a good amount of bandwidth for this team and can be successful but I'd still like one more rebounder on the roster.
I know Finch doesn't like to do this, but may be he'll be willing to toggle more depending on matchups. I'd like to see Josh Green as our default 5th starter unless it's against a front line that is big across the board and it's just really hard to get away with the Jaden/Josh forward combination. In that case, yeah, start Trey.

Nice we have our own euro scout! What all did you see that you liked? One thing I saw watching some highlights is I thought he looked a little slimmer than what I remember him playing with the Kings etc.
I would say he was doing alot of Dubious Randle type things but better three point shooting and with a bit less passing chops. So, he gives us an option for "some" aspects of bully ball. Again, if that holds over to the NBA now.

Dallas has a lot of bigs so maybe this was to let him have a chance somewhere else. Why not in Minnesota?

Dallas went with Jett Howard.
That's a solid move. He played some decent minutes for Orlando and it looks like he took a step forward at least in terms of 3 point shooting. Also a Michigan guy. Lol
